HOW IS LEE KLABIN sustainable & ETHICAL?
Our products are 100% sustainably and ethically made. This means that no harm is caused to the planet, animals or people. Our products are made from responsibly farmed and ethically harvested materials. The cashmere yarn we use hails from small farms and skilled de-hairers and is sourced through Todd & Duncan in Scotland.
We ensure that the fibre-dyeing causes no harm to the environment and stringent chemical management is in place to ensure no land or water resources are polluted.
High animal welfare standards must be in place from all our suppliers. We ensure living wages are paid to employees of our partners and safe working conditions provided.
We are working towards our target of being not just carbon neutral, but carbon negative. This means offsetting our carbon footprint, and putting systems in place to help sequester the excess carbon in the environment.
Lee Klabin is also in the process of registering to become a B-corp, ensuring sustainable and ethical standards are upheld and cannot be compromised in any aspect of its business.

when should i expect MY ORDER to ARRIVE ?
Smaller production runs are designed to reduce waste. So we make most of our products available to pre-order 10-25 working days before we send them to you. This way we can better gauge the demand for each style, colour-way & size and ensure nothing is wasted in the production process or through excess stock. If you order an item already in stock, then it will be sent to you in 5-10 working days.
How do I care for my LEE KLABIN GARMENTS?
To ensure a long and beautiful life for your garment, we suggest the following.
Only clean it when necessary. Generally, hanging your garment in a well-ventilated space will refresh it without the need to do more. A gentle steam-free press can also help remove wrinkles.
Your garment's care tag will identify the ideal care guidelines for your individual piece should it require more. Ideally, we advise hand-washing and flat-drying your knits. This method has the lowest environmental impact. It is also the healthiest way to clean your garment and so preserve its beauty.
Our items can also be dry cleaned, although this method has a greater environmental impact, due to the chemicals used in the process. It is worth checking whether your dry cleaners uses greener methods that do not use the solvent perchloroethylene or “perc”.
WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO animal products?
One of our founding 'non-negotiables' is: “do no harm to animals.” We don't work with any animal products such as leather, fur, traditional (non-peace) silk, or down, which generally require the killing of the animal. We use cashmere sourced directly from Todd & Duncan who work with a select few ethical farms around the world who ensure their goat herds are circulated to avoid eroding the landscape. These goats are gently de-haired by specialists who do so without harming them.
For more information, please visit our Provenance page where we expand on the story of each piece.

All of our products are created according to established industry standards for fit and sizing. WHAT ELSE DOES LEE KLABIN DO TO HELP FIGHT FOR POSITIVE CHANGE?
We know that systemic change comes from legislation, regulation and customer choices. These need to provide incentives for individuals, companies, and governments to adjust their behaviour en masse. Individual choices have a very important role to play in getting there. The Call to Action portion of the site (which is launching soon) provides a platform for you to raise your voice and communicate with the various organisations that are fighting for these changes to happen faster. These range from key initiatives that we believe are critical to climate change, environmental, social justice, and animal rights issues. We would love to hear from you at hello@Leeklabin.com so we can ensure your voice is heard in the fight to improve our industry, society and planet.
